Alice’s professional skill set encompasses strategic planning, operational leadership, engineering scale-up, team development and venture capital investing. Alice specializes in the integration of business diligence with technical innovation to commercialize novel technologies.
As a Fellow with Breakthrough Energy, she served as a fractional executive and advisor to more than a dozen early stage climate tech startups including firms in circular plastics, green chemicals, hydrogen, and green ammonia. She is driven to find the intersection of economic, social and environmental value creation with all the founders she works with.
As COO at Vartega Inc, Alice led the operations team in a suite of technical projects for the commercialization of their carbon fiber composite recycling platforms. As head of special projects at LanzaTech Inc, she led scale-up projects in Asia, Great Britain and the United States to demonstrate the use of fermentation to convert greenhouse gases into fuels and chemicals. She also served as Vice President of the Colorado Impact Fund, gaining skills in investment deployment and corporate governance.
As a resident of Colorado and a native of New Zealand, Alice has a great passion for the outdoors and can often be found exploring mother nature in her trail shoes, on her mountain bike or in her skis.

Jennifer’s expertise lies in transforming science and innovation projects into scalable business opportunities that maximize climate and financial returns. She is an experienced team and culture builder, advisor and coach.
A dedicated advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in climate tech, she serves as an executive coach for founders from underrepresented backgrounds through accelerators like LabStart, Air Miners, and Elemental Excelerator. As a Breakthrough Energy Fellow, she advised over a dozen early-stage climate tech startups across sectors including carbon capture, enhanced weathering, hydrogen and cement.
She joined CarbonCure, a leading climate tech startup, as employee #2, and spent 12 years scaling the company to a solution adopted by 750+ concrete plants around the world. As President, she drove company culture as the team scaled to 100+ employees operating across 4 continents, while maintaining the organization's commitment to its mission, vision, and values. She led the team to win the grand prize for two major global climate innovation competitions: the $20 million Carbon XPRIZE and the $35 million Grand Carbon Challenge.
Jennifer has been recognized as one of 20 Women Driving The Future of Climate Tech, Business Insider’s Clean Energy Rising Stars, Canada’s Clean50 Emerging Leaders, and the Climate Action Summit’s Climate Trailblazers.
